Patch Notes V0.01.12: Activate your Plays on Frosty Hallows

Hey all, we’ve got a big system coming in today’s patch! The new additions to the in-match store – the ACTIVE ABILITIES… which players will be able to buy as a third ability. This also comes with some Trooper and Passive balance changes and a rebalance of the in-match item prices. We’ve also got a new Domination map – Frosty Hallows – for players to battle across.

Active Abilities

Today we're adding the Active Abilities Items into the in-match store! These are class specific items that you can purchase while playing the game which defines your "late game" playstyle for that Trooper. This also comes with some rebalancing of prices for the passives which increases the pace that you earn everything.


Damage Class


Catch 22

Upon Activation, the Trooper deals 50% additional damage and takes 100% additional damage from all sources for 6 seconds.

  • Price now set to 800 shards

  • Cooldown: 25s


Laser Shot

Upon Activation, causes your projectiles to be replaced by ‘lasers’ for the next 8 seconds. This causes them to pierce through targets and instantaneously travel to their maximum range.

  • Cooldown: 30s

  • Price now set to 800 shards


Tank Class


Who Needs a Healer?

Upon casting the ability, the Tank heals for 50% of their maximum HP over 8 seconds. During this time the Tank moves 25% slower and deal 30% less damage.

  • Cooldown: 28s

  • Price now set to 800 shards


I am the Carry

Upon activation the Tank moves 15% slower and has 50% less max HP, but deals 25% more damage and gains 20% life steal for 8 seconds.

  • Cooldown: 28s

  • Price now set to 800 shards


Healer Class


Health is my Resource

Activating this ability costs 50% of the Healer’s max HP, and causes all healing and damage caused by the Healer to be buffed by 60% for 8 seconds.

  • Cooldown: 25s

  • Price now set to 800 shards


Cleanse

The Healer calls down a 12m AoE cleanse bomb at the cursor location within 25m, removing all CC and DoT effects from allies.

  • Cooldown: 15s

  • Price now set to 800 shards


Support Class


Thorns

The Support casts Thorns on an Ally at the cursor location within 25m. The effected Ally reflects 30% of all damage back to the damage source for 10 seconds.

  • Cooldown: 20s

  • Price now set to 800 shards


Teleport Station

The teleporter has 1000HP. The first use of the ability places the first teleporter entrance, second use places the second entrance and links the two locations. Allies who walk over either location will instantly travel to the opposite end. If the Support presses the ability while a teleporter is established then it will destroy the entrances and the ability will go on cooldown.

  • Cooldown: 15s (After the teleporter is destroyed)

Frosty Hallows - Domination Map

A snowy wonderland where Fantasy creatures of all shapes and sizes live in relative harmony, sat atop a picturesque mountain. Take command of this frozen landscape by locking off the Dwarven lake, enjoy the peaceful quiet of the Hobbit’s corner, or take your chances in the antisocial Troll’s cave.

  • Duration on floor buffed from 2.5s to 5

  • Damage buffed from 45 to 55

  • Lifesteal nerfed from 40% to 35%


Scorch:

Rain of Fire:

  • initial damage has been removed – was 100 on impact

  • DoT damage has been halved to 37

  • DoT duration has been doubled from 3 seconds to 6 seconds


Fang:

Smoke Bomb

  • Ally defence increase buffed from 20% to 25


Flintlock:

Gun:

  • Range nerfed from 24m to 22

  • Damage nerfed from 51 to 50


Double O’s

There was a bug with Double O’s which meant that the DoT effect was only lasting the duration of double O’s itself – as such the old duration of 5 seconds was inaccurate and should have been displayed as 3 seconds. Due to the change the ability needs a rebalance: DoT damage has been nerfed from 28 every 0.5s to 25 and duration has been changed to 4 seconds from 5. This should make Flintlock feel around the same as he used to – so it’s not really a nerf as the DoT is applying and lasting the correct amount of time.

  • Health buffed from 600 to 800

  • Heal amount buffed from 50 to 60

Bug Fixes


  • Turrets and Bots will now target enemy deployables.

  • potential fix for lobby leaders not being able to invite friends to their squad.

  • potential fix for bugged queues – you will now be returned to main menu if you exceed the maximum queue time by 1 minute.

  • fixed main menu showing overtop of squad select.

Known Issues


  • You may have to restart the game to get your store to refresh correctly and receive a purchased item.

  • By pressing the ` key (next to 1 on qwerty keyboards) you will enter an Ai testing mode. This has no in game benefits for players, but we’re running dev builds so we can debug the game. If you do this your camera can get disconnected from your character. If you do this in base you can get stuck in base.

  • Your keys may be set randomly in the options menu while changing settings.

  • Sometimes the escape key won't work when in various menus, right click on the game to re-focus the window, and ESC should work.

  • Keys at Launch and Rockets diffused are not tallying correctly at the end of the Strike Match score screen.

  • Sometimes key UI icons in Strike stay on the minimap after being collected

  • Sometimes in squad select some players are given a wider aspect ratio than intended.

  • Sometimes when a Trooper respawns they can lose their overhead UI, we're tracking this down and should have a fix soon.

  • If you end the match with an ability being aimed, the aiming line/reticule will get stuck on screen. This can cause your abilities to lock off in the next game. If you have this bug go back to main menu before re-queueing and it will fix it.

  • Borderless/Windowed/Fullscreen don't seem to be setting properly, working on a fix.

  • We've had one instance of Trooper's spawning with the incorrect UI, we're keeping an eye out for this, but haven't had any additional instances of the bug.

  • Some players are experiencing random crashes. Some of these have been fixed, but there may be more. If you experience this then join the discord and send over your log files to BadFox_Eddie. You can ask him how to get your log files and he'll help!

  • Sometimes dodging can consume almost 2 charges if you dodge as your second dodge comes off cooldown – looking into this.

  • Shooting the bus stops in game up close will block projectiles, while shooting from long range wont.

  • Some throwable ability models are getting stuck in the air – it’s just visual as the ability still works perfectly.

  • Frosty Hallows rocks are not cutting out correctly, will be fixed in the next patch.
